After finishing high school in North Carolina, Neil enlisted in the Navy and served a total of six years; 3 years aboard the USS Milwaukee AOR2. After being Honorably discharged and with the military helping to pay for school, Neil received his Associate of Arts Degree and went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree at UNC-Greensboro, NC in Food and Nutrition with a minor in marketing. While in school he also worked part-time for Aramark.
Once finished with school, Neil worked for Morrison’s Health Care both as an Assistant Director and later as a Director of Food & Nutrition. His career then drew him into food distribution sales working as a Distributor Sales Representative for Institution Food House (IFH).
Neil then took a step into the food manufacturers' industry and took a position with Kellogg’s as a foodservice sales rep based in New York City. His 18 year career with Kellogg’s took him into numerous positions ranging from District Manager, Foodservice Training Manager, Integration Manager, Sales Planning, and Region Manager managing / leading direct sales reps and brokers.
Neil’s prior experience has helped S&H become a successful organization that cares deeply about ensuring their clients get the service they expect. His planning / organization skills and knowledge of the foodservice industry are a key differentiation point for S&H.
Neil’s off time is spent with his family and friends. He has a passion for giving back to the community with his certified German Shepherd Therapy Dog. In addition, Neil also enjoys walking and kayaking. He has also been sighted on the golf course.
